Capturing the razzle dazzle of John Kander and Fred Ebb's Chicago with its merry murderesses, scantily clad dancers and slickster lawyer is a tall order, but Broadway.com resident artist Justin "Squigs" Robertson is just the man for the job! Squigs stopped by the Ambassador Theatre, where the Tony-winning revival is still going strong after 16 years, to see Amy Spanger as ambitious chorus girl Roxie Hart, Christopher Sieber as sly hotshot attorney Billy Flynn and Amra-Faye Wright as vaudevillian murderess Velma Kelly, plus R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and Carol Woods as Matron "Mama" Morton. Enjoy this portrait of Broadway's favorite show-stopping tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz, then catch the exciting cast that’s continuing to bring it to life eight times a week!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
